Clerihan Ladies GAA

Well done to the U16 girls who put up a great challenge against Holycross on Sunday last, they struggled to make a full team and the result showed this. Thanks to all the girls who turned up and Paddy Murphy for the huge effort he puts in.
The club is now taking orders for the new training gear, all the clothing can be tried on for size at training and orders taken. A 50% deposit will be required on all orders.
Registration is now due and costs are 32 euro for over 10’s and 20 for under.
Quiz cards are still available and we would ask that all cards be back by the end of the week

Well done to Clerihan U12 girls team who had a great game against Moyle rovers on Wednesday and  came out on top with a stunning performance to win 4-4 to 3-4. The future looks bright for this bunch of girls.

The competition cards are still available and if anyone would like purchase some you can contact any of the club officers. Registrations are now due so you could you please get these in as soon as possible.

We will be purchasing some club gear soon and samples are available in the new colours and can be tried on for size before  ordering.

The U14 championship kicks off soon and all girls are asked to attend training.

Clerihan Ladies GAA

The ladies football club held their annual awards ceremony last Friday night and it was well attended by players and parents alike.

Awards were presented in the following categories, most improved and player of the year:

Under 11 Sophie Boyle and Leah Clancy
Under 12 Fiona Mc Grath and Kate Corcoran
Under 14 Aisling Walsh and Eilleen Flannery
Minor Amy Gillman and Elaine Butler

A special presentation was made to our two county players Hollie Corcoran and Eilleen Flannery for the tremendous effort they have put into their club football and we wish them every success with their county championship games. The club would also like to thank Sean o Donovan and Barbara from the county senior football squad for making the presentations to the girls, and we can’t forget our secretary, Evelyn McGrath who puts in a Trojan effort to make sure the club runs smoothly .

Our under 16 championship is starting next week so it’s essential that all girls attend training, any queries to Paddy Murphy 0878201910.

Clerihan ladies GFC would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who supported their table quiz last Saturday night in Ryan’s. The atmosphere was really lively and the music after the quiz rounded off a great night.

Clerihan Ladies Gaa Pub Quiz

Don’t forget our pub quiz is on Saturday night Feb 9th at 8.30pm in Ryan’s pub Clerihan. €20 for a table of four. This is our main fundraiser for the year so we ask everyone to come out and support the night. There will be lots of prizes and food served on the night so hope to see you all there.

Training will be starting again for all age groups in the next week. Coaches will be in touch with days and times.
