Village Clean Up 2016

Clerihan Community Council —Village Summer Clean Up

As you may have noticed, Tipperary County have commenced a “Clean Up” in the village Centre.

Furthermore, they have offered to bring the Street Sweeper Truck back into the village on Friday July 29th   to do a final clean up.

This clean-up will include ALL the Estates  in Clerihan.

We ask ALL residents and Businesses to do the following (adjacent to & surrounding your property) in advance of Friday 29th:

  • Tidy Up Hedges
  • Spray weeds
  • Remove Weeds
  • Trim trees on paths
  • Pick Up Litter
  • General Tidy Up
  • Sweep all paths to road Edge ………for Sweeper to Collect.

Please also note —Have no cars parked to obstruct sweeper on the Friday 29th July, otherwise it’s an opportunity missed!!!

We have also been in contact with the landowners on the approach roads to the village and hope they will support our VILLAGE SUMMER CLEAN UP initiative by trimming the hedge rows.

It’s important that we make this initiative a successful one, and that we can encourage full participation by ALL RESIDENTS OF OUR VILLAGE, and possibly be able to compete in a TIDY Towns Competition, one day similar to Rosegreen village.

We must thank Councillor Michael Murphy for his great support for this initiative, Tipperary County Council and the members of Clerihan Community who helped kick-start the project.

Looking Forward to your Support in this regard in the coming week.

Thank You in Anticipation
